Avoid First Session Device Disasters with My Top Device Tips

The single most frustrating point of my PE journey was my very first session with my new devices. 
I thought I would unbox them, strap in and start growing.

Instead I spent an hour wrestling with:

  • A hanger that would either slip, or pinch
  • A pump that wouldn't reach or hold vacuum
  • BFR rings that didn't seem to cause any expansion

That battle ended up going on for multiple weeks.
But ultimately I prevailed.

When I started coaching, I heard the same soundtrack from clients:

  • "My hanger is either slipping off or pinching me"
  • "My pump can't reach that vacuum pressure"
  • "I don't feel anything with these BFR rings and I'm not any bigger"

It was obvious why they weren't growing. 
Their devices were working against them.

So I walked them through my setup, adjusting and troubleshooting steps.
The problems went away.
And the gains came fast.

I want to share those same tips with you.
So you can start training safely, effectively and pain-free from Day 1.

Tip #1 Stop Hanger Pinching ASAP!

The #1 complaint I hear related to hangers?
"The hanger keeps pinching"

9 out of 10 times it's not the hanger—it’s the wrap.

Most guys stack on longer, thicker, tighter wraps hoping for more protection.
But this approach just causes more pinching!

What has completely eliminated pinching for myself and 40+ clients is the two layer wrap:

Layer 1:

Cotton T-shirt or thin cotton sweatshirt (use that one that's been sitting in your closet unworn for 3+ years)
About 1.5" wide, and long enough to wrap around the shaft 2 to 3 times (10" to 12" long for most guys)

Layer 2:

Silver Theraband. Same width or slightly thinner, and long enough to wrap around the shaft 3 to 4 times (12" to 18" long for most guys)

The cotton gives a soft, skin friendly cushion while the Theraband grips without strangling.
Give it a try, feel the pinching disappear instantly.


Here's what MC sent me right after trying this method out:
“I have tried so many different wrapping techniques. But I always had severe discomfort and numbness. After so many tries I just figured hanging wasn't for me. Today I tried your wrap and setup technique. By far the most comfortable hanging session I have ever had. No glans twist, no pain tightening the hanger, no pinching, no numbness or loss of circulation, and NO SLIPPING! which has always been an issue for me as an uncut guy.
Finally! 60 minutes without constant problems or discomfort!"

Tip #2 Stop Pump Leaks NOW!

One of the most common frustrations in PE is a pump that won’t reach — or won’t hold — vacuum.

If you run into this issue, here’s a 3-step troubleshooting sequence that’s worked for me and 40+ coaching clients:

1) Isolate the Pump

  1. Remove the hose from the pump
  2. Seal off the pumps barb fitting with your finger
  3. Pull vacuum to 10inHg or more

Result:

  • Reaches and holds pressure? Pump is good to go.
  • Won't reach or hold pressure? Pump is bad, return it.

2) Test the Hose

  1. Slide the hose fully onto the pump barb fitting
  2. Plug the open end of the hose with your finger
  3. Pull vacuum to 10inHg or more

Result:

  • Reaches and holds pressure? Hose is good to go.
  • Won't reach or hold pressure? Hose is bad, or not seated properly.
    Try trimming it and re-seating it. If that doesn't work replace it.

3) Full System Test

  1. Attach the hose to the cylinder port
  2. Lightly lube the cylinder rim
  3. Press the cylinder rim flat against bare skin (stomach or thigh) and pump to 10inHg

Result:

  • Reaches and holds pressure? All systems go, you're ready to start training.
  • Won't reach or hold pressure? Most likely a leak at the cylinder port.
    Thread the port in and out in 1/2 turn increments while testing until the leak stops. (Look for the port and cylinder to be flush against the o-ring without crushing it)

Follow this sequence and you’ll have your pump dialed in and leak-free in minutes.

Tip #3 BFR the Right Way

If you’ve spent any time on PE forums, Reddit, or YouTube, you’ve probably seen the fear mongering around BFR.

And yes — there’s some truth to it. Guys have injured themselves trying it.

But here’s the reality:
When performed correctly, BFR is no more dangerous than any other PE method.

So here is the basic 101 explanation of what BFR is and some safety tips that have kept me and 40+ clients injury-free — and made BFR one of the most powerful tools in our growth arsenal.

What is BFR?

Blood Flow Restriction is limiting blood from exiting the penis while still allowing fresh blood in.
When done correctly, two things happen:

  1. Blood pressure inside the penis increases, expanding it beyond its natural max size.
  2. The blood becomes deoxygenated, creating a hypoxic environment.

The growth driver isn’t expansion — it’s hypoxia.
Tissues adapt by building more blood-holding capacity, so they can carry more oxygen next time.

BFR Safety Tips

1. NEVER exceed 10 minutes of continuous blood flow restriction at a time. Seriously. DON'T.
Just starting out 5 minutes is plenty to test the waters.

2. DO NOT Kegel, flex or contract your pelvic floor muscles. Keep them relaxed.
The occasional contraction won't kill you.
But if you're kegeling away you will strain your pelvic floor — leading to soft glans syndrome, hard flaccid, or ED.

3. Pay attention to the color changes.

  • Red = Good.
  • Dark Red = Nearing your limit.
  • Purple = Stop immediately.
  • Grey = You should have stopped minutes ago...

4. Start out with just a single BFR ring.
Follow the sizing guidelines in the Device Cheat Sheet.
It should feel snug, but not like it's crushing your dick.

5. Monitor your Erection Quality.
If you're erections get weaker or morning wood disappears you're over-doing it.
Back off and recover.

Follow these tips and BFR becomes a safe, powerful accelerator of growth instead of a risk.
